A custom ragout tray, with a mold you own
When the previous supplier would not replace its worn mold, QDP said yes to the exact dimensions the entire process depends on.
The challenge
The situation
Van Geloven fills plastic trays with ragout and uses them to cool it down. The previous supplier's mold was worn out, and that supplier no longer wanted to invest.
The tray has unique dimensions, and the entire process is built around them. An off-the-shelf alternative was not an option.

What we did
Our approach
- A new mold built to the exact custom dimensions, with a certificate of ownership: it is used exclusively for Van Geloven.
- Production managed entirely in-house, without an intermediary adding margin and risk.
- Worked together to improve the product: analyzed weak points and added reinforcement.
- Advice from design through to transport, with direct communication.
What it delivers
The result
Higher quality
A stronger, reinforced tray that fits the existing process exactly.
Lower unit cost
Because Van Geloven purchases the mold itself and there is no intermediary.
Ownership of the mold
With a certificate of ownership. The mold is used exclusively for Van Geloven.
QDP is one of the few suppliers that can say yes to these dimensions. The lines of communication are very short, which is great.
