Quality and Certification
Quality you can prove, not just promise
ISO 9001:2015 and SMETA 4-Pillars certified, with checks at every step and a guarantee that puts the risk on us.
What is ISO 9001:2015
Quality as a system, not as coincidence
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management: a system that ensures processes, products, and improvements are demonstrably on track, with the customer as the starting point. QDP (Duiven, founded 1998) is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and our own factory is also SMETA 4-Pillars certified for labor, health and safety, environment, and ethics.
For you, that means predictability: the same quality with the first shot and the ten-thousandth, checks at each step, and complete traceability if there’s ever a question about a batch. Quality here is not just a certification afterwards, but the way we operate.
Quality Assurance
Control in Four Steps
Incoming Inspection
Raw materials and materials are checked to specification upon entry before going into production.
Process Control
During production, we monitor the critical parameters, so deviations are detected before they affect a batch.
Final Inspection and Validation
Before shipping we check dimensions, surface, and function against the drawing and requirements as agreed.
Documentation and Traceability
Every step is recorded, so a product can be traced back to the material batch. Consistency is not a coincidence, but the result of control.
At the machine
Process monitoring per shot
The settings per product are recorded in the process sheet: temperature, pressure, and cycle time. The operator monitors these parameters on the machine and intervenes before a deviation affects a batch. This way, shot ten thousand is the same as shot one.
Certifications
Demonstrable, not just a claim
ISO 9001:2015

In motion
Walk through the factory
Quality you can prove starts with showing where your product is made. Maick takes you in one minute past the mold storage and the machines in our factory.
Certainty
Properly produced, or you get your investment back
Because we do the mold flow analysis and Design for Manufacturability up front, the chance of an error at the first shot is virtually zero. And if a product is not produced as designed, you get your investment back. That's not buried in the small print; that's how we keep the risk with us instead of with you.

Frequently asked questions
Quality and certification in brief
What is ISO 9001:2015?+
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management. It establishes that an organization controls its processes, puts customer satisfaction at the center, and continually improves systematically, and that this is assessed through an independent audit. QDP is ISO 9001:2015 certified, so this assurance is demonstrable and not just a promise.
Is QDP ISO 9001 certified?+
Yes. QDP is ISO 9001:2015 certified for its quality management system, and its own factory is also SMETA 4-Pillars certified. QDP is also a member of Koninklijke Metaalunie. This combination covers both the product quality and the conditions under which it is made.
What is SMETA 4-Pillars?+
SMETA is a widely used audit for responsible production. The 4-Pillars version checks four areas: labor conditions, health and safety, environment, and ethics. QDP’s own factory is audited on those four pillars, so you know under what circumstances your product is made.
How does QDP ensure quality during production?+
Quality is assured in four steps: incoming inspection of raw materials, process control during production, final inspection and validation before shipping, and complete documentation and traceability. This way, the quality with the first shot is the same as with the ten-thousandth, and a batch can always be traced if needed.
What happens if a product is not good?+
Because mold flow analysis and Design for Manufacturability are done up front, the chance of an error is small. If a product is still not produced as designed, you get your investment back. This way, QDP deliberately keeps the risk with itself rather than with the customer.
Does QDP also inspect the raw materials?+
Yes. Raw materials and materials are checked to specification upon arrival before entering production. That is the first of four control steps and prevents any deviations in the material from only becoming visible in the final product. It is part of the ISO 9001:2015 system QDP works with.
