Know within 30 minutes whether your product can be molded, and what it will roughly cost
You talk to an engineer, not a salesperson. Bring your sketch, photo or CAD file, so we can dive right in.
What we do in that half hour
Three questions, answered concretely
-
Is it makeable
We look at where your design gets stuck in a mold: wall thickness, draft, undercuts. And what is needed to solve that.
-
From what then
Which plastic fits the function, the temperature, and the lifespan you need, and what that choice does to the price.
-
What does it cost roughly
An initial indication for mold and piece price, based on your dimensions and the quantities you have in mind.
Plastic products that are injection molded in series, usually starting from about 500 pieces per year. If you're looking for individual 3D prints or a one-off piece, we would rather refer you right away than spend half an hour for nothing on both sides.
No drawing yet? Then we’ll think along based on your sketch or idea. We have that conversation more often than you think.
Step 1 of 2
Briefly tell what it's about
Four questions, then you immediately pick a time. That way the right engineer is at the table and we don't have to use the conversation to figure out what it's about.
Step 2 of 2
Pick a time that suits you
Online via Teams or at our place in Duiven. Lasts thirty minutes and is non-binding.

Frequently asked questions
What happens to my design?
That remains yours. We standardly work with an NDA and state in the agreement that the intellectual property remains yours. The factory in China is one hundred percent owned by QDP, so nothing is outsourced to third parties who could walk off with your drawings. CAD files and revisions are stored in secure environments where only those involved have access.
Will I be bombarded with calls afterwards?
No. After the conversation, you get in writing what we discussed and where the points of attention are. If you want to proceed, you'll hear from us. If you want to discuss it internally first, that's fine and you decide when we contact you again.
What should I bring?
Everything you have: a sketch on paper, a photo of a prototype, a 3D file or a drawing. Handy to have: how many units you expect per year, what the product is for, and if there are requirements regarding temperature, outdoor use, or certification.
Does this meeting cost anything?
No, this half hour is non-binding. We invest that time because in that conversation we also see whether your product fits with us. If it develops into a real engineering project, you’ll get a price for that beforehand.
Can it also be at your location?
Yes. Online via Teams or at our place in Duiven, whichever works best for you. If you visit, we’ll also walk you through the measurement room and the samples, and then a mold becomes much less abstract.
