SoftClose: sliding doors that close safely
An integrated slow-stop module that allows sliding doors to close in a controlled manner, also in healthcare.
The challenge
The situation
Sliding doors sometimes close uncontrollably, resulting in damage and safety risks. BPZ was seeking a reliable slow-stop solution.
What we did
Our approach
- An integrated SoftClose module was designed and engineered.
- An extensive testing process focusing on the complex functionality was completed.
- A slow-stop-and-open system was produced.
- Both a single and a double variant were developed.
