From 3D Print Prototype to Injection Molded Product
A hair catcher for the shower, made production-ready for injection molding without losing the original functionality.
The challenge
The situation
Amir came to QDP with a largely developed 3D print prototype of the Draindodger.
The design still had to be truly made production-ready for injection molding: draft angles, material behavior, and manufacturability. It was his first injection molding project.

What we did
Our approach
- Provided insight into the possibilities and limitations of injection molding.
- Refined the design without losing functionality or appearance.
- From prototype to a production-ready product that is injection molded in-house.
What it delivers
The result
Production-ready
A prototype translated into a scalable product.
Strong growth
Now tens of thousands of users in Europe and the United States.
Reliable start
Guidance that truly makes the difference in a first injection molding project.
QDP helped us translate a prototype into a production-ready product and has been an important partner in the growth of Draindodger.
